What information I collect

  • Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, wedding date, venue, how you found me and anything you tell me in your message.
  • Bookings: the details in your contract, your postal address, and payment records. Payments will be processed through Stripe.
  • Your photographs: images of you, your family and your guests taken at your wedding or portrait session.
  • Website use: basic technical information and, if you agree, analytics cookies and tools.

How I use it, and the legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote (steps you’ve asked me to take before a contract).
  • To deliver the photography you’ve booked and manage our contract (performance of a contract).
  • To keep financial records for tax (legal obligation).
  • To send occasional news or offers, only if you’ve opted in (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

Photographs and sharing my work

I may share selected images from your wedding in my portfolio, blog, social media and on wedding directories such as Hitched. If you’d rather I didn’t, tell me and I’ll note it in your contract.

Who I share it with

  • My online gallery provider, which hosts your photographs (Sprout Studio).
  • My website host (IONOS) and the form plugin that stores enquiries on my website.
  • Print and album labs (Loxley Colour), only to produce products you’ve ordered.
  • A replacement photographer, only if I can’t attend your wedding because of illness or an emergency.

I never sell your information.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: 12 months
  • Contracts and financial records: 6 years
  • Your photographs and online gallery: 12 months for the online gallery, 2 years for RAW files.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email me and I’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
